CRISIS INTERVENTION, TRAUMA AND PATHOLOGICAL GRIEF

From time to time, life challenges us with existential circumstances (job changes, divorces, family separations, migrations) that can provoke strong anxiety disorders and chronic distress (pathological stress).

Some life-events (job loss, the death or illness of a loved one, violence circumstances…) overcome us in such a way that leave us feeling vulnerable, weak, alone, confused and lost.

For this reason, when we are overwhelmed by life-circumstances that cause us psychosomatic distress (trauma, war experiences, sexual violence, accidents or emotional blackmail), it is essential to be accompanied and supported by a specialized professional, particularly if we want to avoid unnecessary medication.

Instead, for crisis intervention we use brief clinical settings (about twenty sessions). We apply Brief Character-Analytic Psychotherapy (P.B.C) and use specific Neurofeedback techniques as well as psychosomatic and cognitive-systemic techniques.

This way, we are carrying out a clinical intervention and, at the same time, preventing more serious side effects and chronic illnesses (depressions, insomnia, psychosomatic disorders, fibromyalgia, phobias, sexual dysfunctions…) that usually develop as a result of unaddressed issues.
